Do The Never
Seth Godin, a well respected marketer, gives some great advice on how to become remarkable:
Figure what the always is. Then do something else.
Toothpaste always comes in a squeezable tube.
Business travelers always use a travel agent.
Politicians always have their staff screen their calls.Figure out what the always is, then do exactly the opposite. Do the never.
This advice can, of course, be applied to any business. Find what it is that you can do to differentiate yourself and do it. Or, you could always strive for mediocrity – it’s your call.
