Advice: We All Need It
Good advice is like gold, it can change your life and bring you great fortune. The problem is that we don’t always listen to the good advice that is given to us. In his book Reflections on Life, Alexis Carrel said:
“All of us, at certain moments of our lives, need to take advice and to receive help from other people.“
Alexis Carrel was a very important person and surely knew the true value of good advice. He was a surgeon, biologist, and eugenicist who was given then Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1912. Carrel was born in France, but was one of the most well-cultured scientists of his time. He knew the importance of networking and joined learned societies in the U.S., Spain, Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Vatican City, Germany, Italy and Greece. The amazing thing is, for somebody who was so well-established in his industry he still knew the power of advice - not only the power of what he could tell others, but more importantly the need to be willing to accept and receive advice and help from others.
