The Best Time to Buy Your Wedding Dress and Save Money

We all want to save money. You CAN save a lot of money on your wedding dress if you buy it at the right time using our insider tips.

The best time to buy your wedding dress is during the months of wedding doldrums, late October, November and December. Everyone is busy getting into the holiday mode and brides aren't thinking wedding dresses, nor or they buying wedding dresses. They are shopping for the holidays.

Bridal shops have to clear out inventory to make room for the new merchandise that is coming in during this slow time. The racks are buldging, the bridal salons are willing to slash prices and make a deal on sample dreses. Too many hanging dresses means too much inventory. Too much inventory means higher end of the year taxes. Bridal shops need the cash flow and you can score a real bargain on the dress of your dreams.

The best time to shop is during the week and in the daytime of the doldrum months when there is little or no foot traffic into the bridal salon. You'll get more individual attention. You won't be competing for the dressing room. And you'll have more time to look at the dresses on the racks.

Don't be afraid to ask questions: Are you having any specials? Will you give me a discount if I buy this sample dress today? What can you do for me if I buy today? 95% will be willing to work with you to get your business. You can't use this tactic at big box stores as they are corporate. This will only work at independent bridal salons.

You may be pleasantly surprised that they'll offer a nice discount. They may even sweeten the pot by adding in some other free item that you need. If you ask nicely, anything is possible!
